Days Gone By

Just a friendly game of checkers....  oh no, wait... I meant fighting over who puts the sippy cups together.

Last week, Mimi conducted art class with Silas and Avery.  She told them they could use "one crayon at a time" and color only on the paper (no worries, I had purchased washable crayons).  Mom said they really did well with the 'class'... Silas (a.k.a. rule follower) patiently colored a little then traded his crayon for another color just like Mimi had said.  Avery (a.k.a. rule breaker), on the other hand, colored furiously for a little while then tossed the crayon over her shoulder and asked for another.  Oh bother.

Helping (ahem, interrupting) Papaw with his work:

Cuddling with Mommy before bedtime:

Carrie, Clay, Parker and Cooper came by a few nights ago to visit while they were back visiting in Mississippi!  Seems like yesterday we were the kids making a ruckus in the floor ... and now we have 5 of our own little munchkins.  These 5 played and played then we went to Newk's and they played and played (thank goodness for patios and cooler evenings (and gates around the patio!).  We sure miss seeing the Nolens and wish they lived closer than Minnesota.  Maybe one day they'll be back in the South (wink!).   (by the way, Carrie has an awesome blog - see it HERE)

I saw this greeting card and had to share it.  This. Is. Avery. Grace. Warf.
