Our good friends, Hank, Jenny, and Vivian invited us to a Fourth of July party at the Country Club - we had so much fun! As soon as we arrived, Bozo the clown was there to make toy balloons for all the kids. Surprisingly, Silas watched in awe as he made an airplane for Silas and a purple dog for Avery. Avery was interested but rather cautious. I would have bet it was going to be the other way around!
Avery warmed up to the clown until we got close for a picture.
The jazz trio playing in the corner of the dining room was a hit! All three watched for awhile then started dancing!
After eating and dancing and popping our balloon toys, we all went out to the lawn to wait for the fireworks. Hundreds (literally!) of kids were running around with bright colored glowing necklaces (genius, by the way... whoever thought to pass these out was smarter than I).

Avery is apparently trying to swindle something away from Vivian... who is not budging. These sweet girls had so much fun together!

The fireworks were wonderful!! Silas and Avery weren't scared at all by the loud fireworks - they loved it!
