60 years and counting...

Happy Anniversary, Moppy and Poppy!  Mop began her toast at dinner with "Sixty years ago today... we eloped." What a celebration of love, commitment, and God-given blessings Mop and Pop are.  The entire Arnold clan met in Memphis at the Peabody for the anniversary party... let's just say those poor ducks will never be the same!

Silas and Pop at happy hour:

Or is it 'reading hour'?  Avery thinks it is 'Avery hour'.

Here are Pop and Mop with their four children:

And their seven grandchildren:

And their five great-grandchildren!!

We may be quite a motley crew... but certainly a special family.  Blessed.  What a legacy Pop and Mop are creating for all of us - I hope and pray that Bruce and I can be the incredible examples of Christ and love that these two special people are.  In Deuteronomy chapter 4, God teaches us to always remember the ways God has been faithful to do what He promised in our lives - to not "let them slip from your heart as long as you live.  Teach them to your children and to their children after them..." Thank you, Mop and Pop, for showing us how to cherish family.  What a treasure.

Kaelyn reading to Avery:

This was our best try at a family photo.  Silas is obsessed with Pop's cane...there was nothing we could do to take his mind off of it.   He ran around the mezzanine tapping that stick with his seersucker shorts suit - he was so cute that I didn't have the heart to stop him!

Their favorite part of the taking pictures hour was playing in the middle of the floor with Mimi!

And Gay Gay!

Avery's duck face.   She chased them around trying to give them kisses. And cheerios (see box in her hand).

What a fun weekend!
