Children's Museum

While Aunt GG and Uncle Micajah were out of town for a wedding, Mimi came into town to stay with Eleanor.  We all (Bruce, Silas, Avery, and I) met Mimi and Eleanor at the Children's Museum on Saturday for some rainy afternoon fun.  This was our first trip with Silas and Avery - it was a hit!  Miss Elle sure enjoyed the outing as well.  Look at this cutie pie!

We arrived just in time for 'story time' in the atrium - and milk and cookies!  Avery was really paying attention as the lady read "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" and was not shy about class participation:
(what you cannot hear is Avery yelling "yyyaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy" as she raised her arm in the air.)

Nobody wants to sit with Mommy when Mimi is around....

We played musical instruments...

Tore down (or 'un-built') a house... literally.

Don't you do this when you're having fun too?
"Daddy, make sure to get my good side.  Cheeeeeeezzzee!"

Fighting over who pushes the button.  Notice the plethora of buttons to choose from.  Great minds think alike, right?
On another note, somebody is learning how to box out for a rebound.

Meanwhile, Eleanor was busy playing some Scrabble.

Until Avery pinned her down.

Super Silly Avery.

Avery and Silas had absolutely no fear and jumped right into the big play maze.  They wouldn't even look back for a picture.

We discovered that the entire tunnel system had some twists and turns (mostly for big kids) and worried about Silas and Avery getting "stuck".  There was only one thing left to do:

Oh boy... Bruce fought through the tunnel exhibit to keep up with the twins... (I won't say aloud - but we found the 'adult' door afterwards.)

All the while Mimi and Eleanor laughed at their silly family:

Okay Papaw, I see some little people ready for some fishing in your lake!  They each caught a catfish and, after a little coercion, oh no I mean encouragement, we finally threw them back...

It was a great, fun day!  We'll be returning soon!
