DISNEY (Day 3)

Day 3!  We awoke early and grabbed breakfast at Captain Cook's, a little restaurant in the Polynesian, then hopped on the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom.  We were ready for another fun-filled day!
(actually, I think these pictures are from the first day, but it's starting to run together...)

Our Fast Passes this day weren't until about 11am, so we had some time that morning to walk around and see what we could ride. Silas and Avery were excited and wanted to ride the Goofy ride... (which they didn't realize was a mini, very short roller coaster)... they bravely hopped in the little planes, Avery with me and Silas with Bruce... and off we went.  They sat glued to us the whole time, but didn't hate it.  I asked Avery if she wanted to do it again and she said, "um.... not right now."  They were still smiling afterwards! Whew! (well, Silas is focusing on the buzz light year toy here, but he is not upset, I promise.)

We enjoyed walking around and riding little things, taking pictures with statues, marveling in the Magic, of course!  We met up with the Sturdivants about 9:30am who had breakfast at Chef Mickey's since this was their last day here.  Our first Fast Pass was for The Little Mermaid ride, so we had to strike a pose for a group shot!

Then, we held Sebastian, the crab!  (No, just kidding... the Disney Memory Maker photographers worked their magic)

And King Triton! It was a little rainy that day, hence the rain coats and crazy hair... but as most Disney fans know, a little rain never stops anything!  Avery wants a "pose and picture" as she says with everything.  Ha.

We had to stop for rehydration.  They actually did a great job at sharing on this trip...

Love these people!

After the Little Mermaid, it was time for Buzz Light Year. This ride was similar to the Toy Story ride at Hollywood, and is super fun!  In fact, I asked Avery on the last day what her favorite ride was and she said this one!

We enjoyed the rest of the morning, grabbed lunch at the Fish House in Liberty Square, then headed back to the Polynesian for a little nap before our big night.... dinner at Cinderella's Castle!  All four of us snoozed for a few hours... they tidied up for the evening.  We did have a Fast Pass for the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train about 5pm, so we made it back to the Magic Kingdom about 4:30.  The kids were a little nervous but wanted to ride the "Snow White" ride... they weren't exactly informed that it was a "family roller coaster".  It was wonderful and really beautiful inside that diamond mine!  The kids really did have fun... despite the picture:

I asked Silas afterwards, "Did you like it, little buddy?" He stately and confidently replied, "I did not like it at all."  Avery just said it was too fast. We followed it immediately with the forever pleasing carousel!

Bruce's parents wanted to get Avery a new princess dress and Silas something too…. so we stopped in the Chateau shop by Cinderella's castle. After MUCH deliberation, she decided on Aurora, Sleeping Beauty. It was a fabulous dress. We went into the dressing room to try it on, and she gleamed with excitement; however, when I asked her if she was ready to go have dinner with Cinderella, she gasped and said, "but Mommy, I can't wear Sleeping Beauty to Cinderella's castle!."  We had brought her Cinderella dress, so we quickly changed and she was ready to go… along with her #1 Knight!

We had just enough time to see the Frozen light up show of the Castle before our 8:15pm reservations, so we headed to the front of the Castle to watch again.  The double Bob stroller comes in handy… the kids stood on the back with our stuff leveraging it on the front.  This show begins with Anna and Elsa and Olaf on stage talking, then Elsa "freezes" the castle while "Let It Go" blasts throughout the Magic Kingdom. It is truly spectacular, and was no less this time.  In fact, this time, Princess Avery actually did the hard work.  You should see the videos of her during this.  She is, with all her might, waving her arms and focusing in on each part of the castle. Here is your frozen princess, dressed as Cinderella:

Then, of course, she is quite proud of her work!

As she should be:

We walked around to the restaurant and paused for a family shot:

While we waited for our reservation, we had to do some last minute primping:

We met Cinderella first in her foyer.  A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes…

Then, during dinner, other VIPs came to join us!
Snow White!

And Sleeping Beauty…

And Jasmine…

After a delicious dinner (and only one broken drinking glass… ), we walked down the spiral staircase, only to be surprised by sweet Cinderella greeting her guests as they left.  This was a special, unhurried time with Silas and Avery.

Oh, and they were no longer shy…  there were important conversations to be had:
Like, "what's that around your neck?", "where's your boy" (Avery's question regarding her Prince…that she asked every princess….)   Silas was in love.

We walked outside just in time for the Wishes Fireworks show… they wouldn't let us leave the courtyard since "fall-out" from the fireworks was surrounding the castle.  BUT, this was a fantastic seat for the show!!

What a day… and special night!
And that was Day 3.
